Most people expect their fireplace to be in their living room or family room. And this makes a lot of sense. But you should really consider the other places where an electric fireplace may prove to be very useful.
For example, putting a wall mount electric fireplace in the garage near your workbench or at the front of your car is a great idea for cold weather climates. Imagine having a nice and warm area of the garage to work in during the winter. How many times have you worked on your car in the garage during the winter and your hands are freezing and hurting. An electric fireplace would keep you warm while working on the car or any other project in the garage.
Another good place to put an electric fireplace is in your master bedroom. Many people go to sleep watching TV, reading a book or listening to music. But imagine going to sleep staring at a fire in the electric fireplace. It’s very relaxing.
You could also put your electric fireplace in the dining room. Dim the lights and have a romantic dinner with your spouse or keep the lights on and spend a Thanksgiving or Easter dinner with your family and you can feel the ambiance. You don’t have to wait til Thanksgiving or Christmas. You can turn on the electric fireplace everynight if you want.
Some people have a three season porch with windows or screens around the entire porch. Add an electric fireplace and turn it into four season porch.
If you ownr manage a hotel/motel, consider adding an electric fireplace and making more money for each room. You’ll likely get a 100% return on your investment in less than 1 year. You can’t lose.

Most people today consider a fireplace to be a luxury and a prestigious item in a home. They don’t consider it to be a necessity. It’s usually a thing of beauty and elegance. A mantel to store keepsakes, trophies etc. But these views are narrow minded views because there are lots of different types of fireplaces and reasons to have one.
There are wood burning and gas buring fireplaces. There are wood burning and corn burning stoves. And there are electric fireplaces and electric stoves. Some are made of marble, brick or cast iron. Others and made to blend well with furniture and actually are part of the furniture. For example, check out this Antique Mahogany Electric Fireplace. Some fireplaces are used for heating a home or room while others are used as a cosmetic enhancement to a room.
I’ve had a fireplace for years and we always use it on holidays and special occasions. It is especially wonderful at Christmas time. One of my family traditions is to set up our Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving. We also decorate the tree and all the rooms in the house to get everyone in the Christmas spirit. But what really sets the Christmas mood the most is when all the decorations are in place and it’s about 7:00pm in the evening. You turn on the Christmas lights and turn on some Christmas music.
You might place those special Christmas CD’s by Anne Murray, Elvis Presley, the Chipmunks, Dean Martin, Perry Como or some other favorite. Then heat up a little hot cocoa or some apple cider and start the electric fireplace. You turn all the other lights in the house off and wrap up in a warm blanket in a comfortable chair. Sip some hot cocoa, feel the warmth of the electric fireplace on your face and stare at the fire.
Staring at a fire is mesmorizing. You start reminicing and your mind wanders to times past. There is simply nothing in this world that is more relaxing than staring at a fire, listening to Christmas music and sipping hot cocoa or apple cider. You might even want to sip some egg nog. And if you have a small child, this is a great time to read a book to a young child.
With an Electric Fireplace you don’t have to worry about cleaning up a mess of logs or ashes. When you are ready for bed, you don’t have to wait while the fire is going out. You simply turn off the Electric Fireplace or reduce the heat to a lower temperature. You may even want to put a second fireplace in the bedroom. You could put one on the wall or in a corner.
Gathering around the fireplace with family to watch a football game after eating your Thanksgiving dinner is a lot of fun too. The benefits of having an electric fireplace are endless. They are extremely easy to use and maintain.
